Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Network Liverpool Business Forum (“the Forum”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and any person or organisation (“you”, “your”, “Member”) who attends or joins the Forum in any capacity, including as a guest, trial member, or full member.

By attending any Forum event or purchasing a membership (quarterly or annual), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Membership Types

2.1 Guest Attendance (Ad-hoc)

  • Guests may attend selected events on a pay-as-you-go basis.

  • Guest attendance does not grant voting rights or access to member-only resources.

2.2 Trial Membership (Quarterly)

  • Valid for three months from the date of purchase.

  • Offers access to member events and forums but does not include long-term member benefits unless otherwise stated.

  • May only be used once per individual or organisation.

2.3 Full Membership (Annual)

  • Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Grants full access to all events, promotional opportunities, and member resources.

3. Payments and Refunds

  • All payments must be made in full in advance via the method(s) specified on our website or invoices.

  • No refunds are offered for any reason, including but not limited to non-attendance, change of circumstances, or perceived lack of value.

4. Attendance and Participation

  • While not mandatory, regular attendance and member engagement (including referrals and collaborations) are encouraged to maximise the value of your membership.

  • The Forum reserves the right to track attendance for administrative purposes but does not penalise non-attendance.

5. Member Conduct and Responsibilities

  • All members and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all events and in all interactions relating to the Forum.

  • You agree not to engage in any conduct that may bring the Forum into disrepute or cause harm to other members or the public.

  • The Forum reserves the right to revoke membership without refund if a member is found to be in breach of these conduct standards.

6. Independence of Members

  • The Forum facilitates introductions, events, and networking opportunities but does not guarantee business outcomes, referrals, or financial benefit.

  • Any agreements, contracts, or transactions between members are strictly between those parties and do not involve or bind the Forum in any way.

  • The Forum accepts no responsibility or liability for:

    • Disputes between members;

    • Failure to fulfil agreements;

    • Any damages, losses, or harm resulting from member interactions.

7. Use of Name and Materials

  • The “Network Liverpool Business Forum” name and logo may not be used in any promotional materials without prior written consent.

  • Any materials provided by the Forum (including presentations, handouts, or online content) remain the intellectual property of the Forum or its licensors and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

8. Events and Changes

  • Event dates, venues, speakers, and formats may be subject to change at short notice.

  • We will make reasonable efforts to notify members of changes but are not liable for any associated costs or inconvenience.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Full details of how we handle your information are available in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Forum disclaims all liability for:

    • Loss of profits, business, or opportunity;

    • Indirect or consequential loss;

    • Acts or omissions of other members or third parties.

  • Our total liability to any member shall not exceed the total fees paid by that member in the 12 months preceding any claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of changes by email or via our official communication channels. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
